Whole and Half Bison For Sale

Pricing and Availablity

We have a limited number of whole and half bison available at any given time. We are currently taking orders for animals that will be processed in May 2023. Please use the form to contact us about a purchase of a whole or half animal.

One-Half Bison – True Half
Price: $5.75/pound plus processing costs* on the hanging weight**
($500 deposit required)

For a 1/2 of bison, you will receive between 166 – 200 lbs of meat. Price & weight may vary depending on the actual weight of the animal. We will provide customers with a cutting instructions form for how they would like their meat packaged.

Whole Bison – True Whole
Price: $4.75/pound plus processing costs* on the hanging weight**
($500 deposit required)

For a whole bison, you will receive between 290 – 380 lbs of meat. Price & weight may vary depending on the actual weight of the animal. We will provide customers with a cutting instructions form for how they would like their meat packaged.

*processing costs are payable to the packing plant at the time of pickup. You will be responsible for this charge. As of October 2022, this cost was approximately $1.05/lb hanging weight, plus a slaughter charge of $100, and a single-pack fee of $20 per animal.

**the hanging weight, a.k.a. carcass weight or hot weight, is NOT the actual amount of meat you will receive. You will receive approximately 60% +/- of the hanging weight.
